Welcome

To the 4-Hers, Family and Friends,

Once again the Fair is almost here. As you prepare all of your projects, from livestock to fresh baked goods, take a moment to stop and reflect on your year. Ask yourself, Have I tried something new? Did I make a new friend? but most importantly, What has 4-H given to me?

In the three short days that are the culmination of the 4-H year, we tend to lose focus on what 4-H really means. Sure, it is nice to win that big trophy and the premium money that comes with it.

"To Make The Best, Better". The 4-H motto. As 4-Her's, you are the BEST. Win or lose. You have taken the steps toward greatness, because 4-H is a community of young people across America learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. The lessons you have learned in 4-H over the past year, will help you in life, and that gives you a head start on others. That makes you a winner. "Winners are not those who never fail, but those who never quit." You may not get that big trophy or the money you hope for, but never quit.

Good luck to everyone!

Sincerely,

Seth Hayes
