On Behalf of the Tolland County 4-H Fair Association, I would like to welcome everyone to the 2008 Tolland County 4-H Fair. It has been an interesting year, full of surprises, and my being at the helm is not the least of them. I never intended to run this office, but a few of my friends convinced me that I should give it a whirl last summer. Lo and behold, when October came, I was put in charge of Fairboard, and have not stopped having fun with them yet. Due to the hard work, we've managed to put the fair together and I hope it goes smoothly. So, my greatest thanks go to the members of Fairboard. There is no way this fair could have happened without you.
I would also like to give heartfelt congratulations to any other 4-H members, parents, leaders, and volunteers who dedicate so much to the fair each year. Your contributions of time, money, and effort have been instrumental in allowing this fair to be as good as it is.
At the close of my 4-H career, I would like to thank everyone who has made this experience — and most particularly this year — so enjoyable and educational. Keep up the good work, stay safe, and go green!
Sincerely,
Blake Smith
